Update on "Pub & Policy" events
Suffolk Coastal Liberal Democrats are more than half-way through their whistle-stop tour of the policy motions coming up for debate in September's party conference.
So far, we have visited Saxmundham, Martlesham, Butley, Aldeburgh and Felixstowe, and further discussion events are lined up in Woodbridge, Grundisburgh and Earl Soham.
We have talked about Brexit and Europe, the environment, the welfare of our armed forces, building standards for housing, the Middle East, terrorism and liberty, and new models of employment. And we have started the process of submitting amendments for policy motion F8: "The Impact of Brexit on Public Services", having emailed our draft amendments to party HQ's draft advisory service.
Still to come in our summer programme are corporate citizenship, EURATOM, protecting small businesses, gun and knife crime, the party strategy, and the party manifesto. If you're a member of Suffolk Coastal Liberal Democrats, check your email for details. We'd love to see you at one (or more) of these discussions.
