A dark day for the UK

 

The UK as a whole has voted to leave the European Union. This ruinous referendum result was reflected in Suffolk Coastal's vote.

The turnout in Suffolk Coastal was high, at 80.7%, and 79,231 votes were cast. Of those, 41,966 (53%) people voted to leave, and 37,218 (47%) to remain.*
