Sal Brinton launches the Suffolk Liberal Democrats' Manifesto for the County Council elections
On Saturday, Party President Baroness Sal Brinton joined Suffolk Liberal Democrats at Henley Community Centre, to help launch our Manifesto for the County Council Elections (to be held in May). The Manifesto embodies our aim for Suffolk to be:
an open, tolerant, happy place to live, learn and work
Chair of Suffolk Liberal Democrats, Jon James, said: "Since 2005, the Conservatives have run the County Council, reducing services whilst squirreling millions into the reserves. Our Manifesto focuses on six priority areas, and offers Suffolk residents a positive way ahead, carefully investing for the future and pulling key services including social care back from the cliff edge".
Baroness Sal Brinton commented: "When I heard that the majority Conservative group in Suffolk had built up such large reserves over the past four years, at the same time as cutting vital services, I was flabbergasted."
We'll bring you further details of our Manifesto contents over the coming weeks.
