The Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) recently undertook a survey of the views of local councils on Public Service Delivery in Suffolk, and they have published their summary of 250 responses in the current version of their newsletter, The Local Councillor (2016 Winter Bumper Edition). The headline figures?

  • "only 2.5% felt there was a good standard of work on the highway with the remainder rating it average or bad"
  • "only 8.67% rate Suffolk police's engagement with the commmunity as good, the others indicating it was average or poor"
  • "over half stated that parking was a problem"
