Public consultation on devolution

12 Jul 2016
Suffolk-Norfolk devolution

The proposed deal for Norfolk-Suffolk devolution has reached the public consultation stage. Under this proposal, a joint authority would be created to include all of Suffolk's councils with some (but not all) of Norfolk's councils, effectively creating a third tier of local government under the auspices of an elected, salaried mayor.

You can read the proposal at https://www.eastangliadevo.co.uk/uploads/Consultation-Norfolk-Suffolk-June-Deal-Agreement.pdf and have your say in the public consultation survey at https://www.eastangliadevo.co.uk/consultation. The consultation will run until Tuesday 23rd August.
