GIVE US A REAL DEBATE
Give us a real debate
A debate between Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn would be a debate between two cosy Brexiters.
The public deserve to hear all the options on Brexit. Giving the people the final say, including the option to remain, is the only real alternative to the national embarrassment of Brexit.
We need to pressure the BBC and ITV to include the Liberal Democrats in any debate to put the case for giving the people the final say on Brexit.
Find out how here:
Step 1: Tweet the broadcasters
Step 2: Contact broadcasters directly
You can write or call the broadcaster's complaint lines directly to argue that the Liberal Democrats should be in the debate to argue for a People's Vote.
We've provided a template email, and you can contact the broadcasters here:
Other ways to make a complaint to the BBC
Email ITV at viewerservices@itv.com
or call on 0344 88 14150 (option four)
Calls are inclusive in allowances on landlines and mobiles, or otherwise cost the same as a call to a standard UK landline number starting 01 or 02.

I am asking you to rethink your plans for a May vs. Corbyn debate on Brexit. The Ofcom Broadcasting Code emphasises the need for "due impartiality" and "an appropriately wide range of significant views must be included and given due weight" in such proposed programmes.
This just won't be possible in a head-to-head debate between Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May without a Liberal Democrat representative.Only the Liberal Democrats have been leading from the front for the past two years and demanding a vote on the Brexit deal, with the public being given an option to remain in the EU - a distinctive view that is not represented by the Prime Minister or the Leader of the Opposition.Instead, you are proposing to give them a platform that would see two party leader's with strikingly similar views engage in an entirely superficial 'debate'.
My own view on Brexit, shared by the Liberal Democrats, must be represented in these debates and that is why I am calling on you today to do the right thing and include Vince Cable in any debate you host.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
