Erasmus+

14 May 2016

Named in honour of the Renaissance humanist and scholar Desiderius Erasmus, Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that will run until 2020, covering the areas of education, training, youth and sport. No longer limited to opportunities for university study in Europe, Erasmus+ allows EU citizens to study, work, volunteer, teach or unertake training, and the programme incorporates some non-EU countries, too. The Erasmus+ scheme is aimed at "students, trainees, apprentices, pupils, adult learners, young people, volunteers, professors, teachers, trainers, youth workers and professionals of organisations active in the education, training and youth sector".
