Deadline looms for comments on proposed Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils merger
Monday 12th December is your last chance to comment on the proposed merger between Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils. This would result in a combined East Suffolk "super district" council that would cover an area stretching all the way up to (and including) Lowestoft. If you have concerns about how your council tax money will be distributed between Suffolk Coastal and Waveney… or about local council services and staff being shared between distant offices in Melton and Lowestoft… or about a reduction in the number of district councillors (each having to cover a wider area, with a heavier workload)… or if you wish to make any other comments related to the proposed merger or to the consultation itself… please make time today or tomorrow to email the council at merger@eastsuffolk.gov.uk with your views.
