Suffolk Coastal Liberal Democrats are delighted that Caroline Page has been re-elected as County Councillor for Woodbridge electoral division. Caroline is an extremely hard-working and dedicated County Councillor, and it is a pleasure to see that the residents of Woodbridge recognise her commitment. Not only has Caroline been re-elected, but she actually increased her majority by a substantial margin, gaining more than half of all votes cast in the division. Good news for the Liberal Democrats -- and good news for the people of Woodbridge.

We are also pleased with the encouraging results that we achieved in other electoral divisions. We took second place in Wickham, Blything and Martlesham, and we had an excellent result in Felixstowe Coastal. A big thank you to all thirteen of our candidates in the eleven electoral divisions.

Across Suffolk, Liberal Democrats increased their share of the vote to 13%. We are disappointed to lose two of our County Councillors, but we retain five in Woodbridge, Ipswich, Babergh and Mid Suffolk.

Our campaign now turns to the General Election. All seven of our Propsective Parliamentary Candidates for Suffolk are in place, and are ready to build on the significantly increased vote in the county.
