Carlford by-election: Will your children and grandchildren still have a village school?

5 Jul 2016
Carlford local election

The government has backtracked a little on its plans to academise all schools in the UK - but they have not given up the idea completely, and behind the rhetoric, the agenda is still very much alive. If parents and the community agree, it may make sense for a large school in an urban area to become an academy, but will our small village schools compete and survive? We, and our Council, need to resist enforced academisation, and protect our children's access to a local education.

Your Liberal Democrat candidate in the Carlford by-election is Jon Neal. Jon cares about the issues affecting your community, and (if elected on Thursday 7th July) will voice your concerns and champion your cause in the County Council.
