Carlford by-election: Will there be someone to care?

The UK's health and social care system is in crisis. Even before the government's austerity measures started to bite, the system was underfunded. But soon the introduction of the living wage will mean that staff costs in care homes risk becoming still more unaffordable. The County Council has a role to play in addressing this funding gap. If you want someone to be available to look after you, or your loved ones, or your vulnerable neighbours when they need it most, make sure you have elected a councillor who cares about the care system.
