Summer is over, September has arrived, and our elected representatives have gone back to the work of government. Perhaps now they can start to work out exactly what they meant when they told us that "Brexit means Brexit". Will the empty slogans of both the government and the Brexiteers be replaced by firm ideas, or even actual policies, with which we can all engage in meaningful discussion? We can but hope.
