Jan Candy

Jan says; "If given the honour to serve this beautiful part of our county I will look seriously at the issue of all these crazy planning approvals for thousands of new houses and little supporting infrastructure. It's a strange world when we can agree that we need more homes yet disagree on where to put them. Most folk don't want thousands of new homes in their area but are perfectly OK with small developments more in-keeping with local needs and supported with the correct infrastructure such as schools and roads. Also, how many people disagree with the need for more social housing to help our young people live and work in Suffolk? Not many, yet we are currently building no social housing at all. All this needs a really good shake-up so we can deliver what we need on a local level, whilst really listening to residents' needs and concerns'.
