The Liberal Democrats rely on donations from individual people. We've never had the big business or trade union cash the other parties can count on, especially at a local level. Your donation will help East Suffolk Liberal Democrats to undertake activities such as running this website, printing Focus leaflets and campaigning in elections.
With a General Election imminent and following a successful but costly local and European parliament elections we need your help now.
You can donate to us by using either GoCardless or PayPal. Both will transfer you to their secure site. GoCardless will ask for your bank account details, and PayPal will ask for your usual PayPal account information. GoCardless charge a lower rate of commission for the transaction than PayPal do, but we value your donation regardless of how you choose to make it!

By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK (i.e. you are on the electoral register), and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person.
Donations to political parties, including sponsorship, are regulated by the Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
The Liberal Democrats can only accept donations from permissible donors*. If you make donations to the Liberal Democrats totalling more than £1,500 in any quarter, we are required to report them to the Electoral Commission, who will publish the fact that you have donated to us.
The name and address of the donor and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission website. Addresses of individuals are not published.

* permissable donors means: individuals on a UK electoral register, UK Trade Unions, companies incorporated within the EU and registered and trading in the UK, Limited Liability Partnerships, UK unincorporated associations and UK building or friendly societies.
